Laufsalir is the name of a mountain in Siðumannaafrétt, and a man wanders there searching for this mountain, and there’s also a lake called Laufsalavatn, and suddenly the man finds himself at the bank of the lake, looking at the reflection of the mountain in the water, yet unable to find the mountain itself. Strange, he thinks, and continues walking.

Laufsalir heitir fjall á Siðumannaafrétti og maðurinn sem er þar á reiki leitar að þessu fjalli en þar er og Laufsalavatn og allt í einu stendur hann á vatnsbakka og sér spegilmynd fjalls í vatninu en eygir hverhi fjallið sjálft. Undarlegt hugsar hann og heldur áfram göngunni.
